INTERNATIONAL STUDENT'S DAY

An unfamiliar and new event was held on the 17th of November -- International Students’ Day -- in Tunas Muda International School, which was organised to express our appreciation of internationalism. On this very day, all the secondary homeroom classes participated in decorating and expressing different cultures in their classrooms and themselves. As it was a competition based on teamwork and creativity, the trophies and cash prizes for the three winners were just as demanding. Nevertheless, all of the classes, winners or not, all earned a consolation prize which was free pizza!

This year’s event was the first ever in TMIS. Led by Matthew A. Tek, the Year 12 students actively took part as the organisers of the event. As it was initially a CAS activity for us, we were expected to be involved with the participants at all times. During the process, various disputes and loopholes developed internally and externally. In the end, however, we managed to pull the event off successfully, with happy students and teachers from both the secondary and primary year levels.
