Houses are built first before we can live in them. This is Gracia’s house which is still in the process of being built.

We can see the swimming pool and the garden from the 10th floor of Ms.Margeaux’s apartment. Wooowww!!
In line with the PYP unit 4 “Home Sweet Home”, K-A had the chance to have a field trip to see different kinds of homes. We went to visit our friend’s houses and our teacher’s apartment to compare the differences between a house and an apartment. The children had so much fun because they got to visit their friend’s home and were amazed by the different kinds of rooms. It was also fun playing with the toys that our friends have at home.
The children learned that there are certain features that are present in some homes but not in theirs, for example some children were able to note that there is a garden in their friend’s house but not in theirs. They were able to point out the differences between a house and an apartment, such as that an apartment has a lift while a house has stairs. At the end, the children were able to conclude that “an apartment is a high building where people live and a house is smaller than an apartment.”
