Year-5 Kedoya & Meruya
SCIENCE FAIR
The science fair has been organised for the past few years and it is now one of the highlights and most awaited events in Year 5. In this occasion, the students are able to show and demonstrate the things they have learned in Unit 3 which focuses on matter and its changing states.

It is not an easy task because the students have to go through many challenges of trial and error until they can figure out what can work.

There are six changing states of matter that include condensation, evaporation, sublimation, deposition, freezing and melting. Of these, the students will demonstrate how one process happens in simple daily activities. The students learned to make good observations, make their own hypothesis and writie an experimental report.

In Visual Arts, the students created a “replica”, to show how the changing states of matter help in our daily life through inventions and creations. Being a scientist requires a lot of character and attitude and this became the topic of discussion during PSE lessons.

We invited students from other levels, teachers, parents, staff and other visitors. The Year 5 students were enthusiastic and confident to explain their experiments. It was a challenging and tiring task but our students did a fantastic job. So, well done Year 5 students! We are very proud of you!
