Healthy Food
Hello everybody! KA children are learning about the Central Idea, “Many plants provide us and animals with food”. In line with this, we are promoting eating healthy foods by involving our children in cooking. They really enjoy making food that they can enjoy eating! Here are some simple recipes you can make with your children at home:
GADO GADO
Ingredients: Solid peanut sauce, Tofu, Spinach, Bean sprouts, Kangkung.
Procedure: First, wash all the vegetables. When it is clean, break the and kangkung leaves. Next, boil the spinach, kangkung, and bean sprout as you fry the tofu cubes. Now, it’s time to prepare the peanut sauce! Melt the solid peanut cube (Example of brands you may use: Kacang Sari and Marina) by pouring just enough warm water to give the desired thick-ness. Voila! You are now ready to pour the sauce on the vegetables. Eat healthy!
FRUIT PUNCH
Ingredients: Pineapple, peeled and cubed, Strawberry, chopped into quarters, Banana, peeled and chopped, Orange, peeled and squeezed, Sweet syrup.
Procedure: Mix all the fruits together. Add water. Blend them and add the sweet syrup as desired. Drink up!
